Christmas seems to come around quicker and quicker each year. No sooner have the whizz bangs of Bonfire Night died away and the leaves turned to gold on the trees than the sound of shop tills ringing and the Christmas lights shining tell us that it is that time of year again.
Sometimes our own ‘Christmassy’ feelings can be a little more sluggish so, if you are looking for a way to kick-start that Christmas spirit, you need look no further than the Plaza Theatre in Romsey on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th December when the Michelmersh Silver Band performs its annual Christmas Concert.
Do not confuse this band concert with other pale imitations – ‘White Christmas’ promises to be 100% packed full of festive surprises and treats for all the family – there is no place for ‘Bah Humbug’ in this show! Back by popular demand is the hilarious Mark Ponsford to compere the show that will feature music from the moving to the plain silly, a chance to sing some carols, and a visit from the gentleman in the red suit with a sweetie or two to distribute.
The Monday evening performance only will feature one or two items by the highly talented youngsters of the MIchelmersh Training Band – a huge hit with the audience on their Plaza debut last year.
